Reiki and Medicine

The spiritual healing practice, Reiki, in modern society, is gaining wide acceptance as a complementary healing modality.

A growing number of health centers and hospitals are offering therapeutic touch to complement conventional treatment in their wellness and complementary care programs. Licensed health care professionals, nurses and practitioners are completing Reiki training and routinely including Reiki along with their standard medical treatments.

Studies on the effects of Reiki performed on cancer and heart patients shows that patients are more relaxed, reduces their level of stress and anxiety and often times improves their sleep.

The following videos demonstrates how Reiki is being offered in some prominent hospitals in the United States.
